HOW I BURNT 2,000 CALORIES WITHOUT KNOWING

Yes, you read that right – and I didn’t even have to wear workout clothes!

I am always trying to make small, but important lifestyle changes to keep me active since swapping over to an office job lifestyle.  There are a million and one ways to make sure you keep active (I’m sure I can rustle up a post one day soon) and also enough fitness trackers out there to help you along too.

The Jawbone Up 24 Hour wristband used to be my best friend when I worked in London, moving around all day. It was brilliant to track and see how active I really was.

Since I swapped jobs I wasn’t using my Jawbone Up 24 wristband as much. So, when in Rome (or Amsterdam in this case) and what not, I spent a day ticking off my bucket list of things to do in Amsterdam.

My day started in town where we headed for a bite of breakfast, or lunch seeing as I finally had my first lie-in of the month. We hopped on the tram from our hotel and then walked all of around 2 feet from central station.

A five or ten minute walk later we ended up at the Sex Museum. Well we had to right? It felt a tad like working out on the stair machine at some points, as most buildings in Amsterdam are thin, but several stories high.

From here we explored some more using the Ulmon Map App for Iphone – which by the way is FANTASTIC – and ended up at the Dungeon’s for a cheeky tour.

To finish up the day, I attended some Zalando Fashion Week events for the Netherlands MBFW, so what better way to burnt calories here and there, than looking at Spring/Summer 2016 clothes? Then had a cheeky drink with the boyfriend.

And that’s, how you can burn 2,000 calories in 12 hours and not even realise.
